Rosa’s 2:00 cancelled. Here’s how it got filled.
-
A customer cancels
Ms. Sullivan texts Thursday night: she’s away this weekend, so her 2:00 clean with Rosa is off. That leaves an hour and 45 minutes after the Patel house.
2:00–3:45 with Rosa Open
-
Patcher finds who fits
Customers booked later who fit the opening, closest fit first.
-
Lindqvist · One-time standard clean, 105 min
Booked next Wednesday 9:00 with Rosa

-
You approve who gets asked
You see who’s on the list and choose who gets asked: Lindqvist, then Okafor. You know Lindqvist works from home on Fridays, so she goes first.
-
Lindqvist accepts
Lindqvist gets one text, sees next Wednesday 9:00 next to today at 2:00 and taps Accept. Okafor is never texted.
-
The schedule updates
Lindqvist’s clean moves to 2:00 with Rosa, and next Wednesday 9:00 opens up for another home.

How does Patcher work for house cleaners?
From pricing your cleans to a full week of regulars, here’s how a cleaning business runs its schedule in Patcher.
- 01
Give each clean its own length
Set up standard, deep and move-out cleans as separate services with their own prices and lengths, so a three-hour deep clean never gets squeezed into a two-hour slot.
- 02
Book your regulars once
Set weekly and biweekly homes as repeating appointments, with the lockbox code, alarm code and pets in the customer notes. Reminder texts go out before each clean.
- 03
Leave room for the drive
With “we visit customers” on, suggested times account for the drive between houses, so a crew finishing across town isn’t booked at the next home ten minutes later.
Does Patcher do what house cleaners need?
Every plan includes every feature.
- Can customers book a cleaning online? Yes
- Customers pick a service and a time. Standard cleans book instantly; deep cleans come in as requests. How online booking works
- Does it send automatic appointment reminders? Yes
- Reminder texts go out before each appointment, plus confirmations for online bookings.
- Can I book weekly and biweekly cleans? Yes
- Book a repeating clean once and your weekly and biweekly homes stay on the schedule.
- Can I see every cleaner’s day in one place? Yes
- One calendar with a column for each person, their openings and blocked time like lunch.
- Will it stop me booking a cleaner at two houses at once? Yes
- Every time is checked against the day before it saves. If you mean to overlap, Patcher asks first. How booking works
- If a customer cancels their clean, can the time be filled? Yes
- Customers booked later are lined up for the opening. You approve, and they’re texted one at a time. How cancellation filling works
- Does it leave time to drive between houses? Yes
- With “we visit customers” on, suggested times leave room for the drive between jobs. How travel-aware scheduling works
- Can I check the next house from my phone? Yes
- Patcher works in your phone’s browser, with a day view made for a small screen.
- Can I switch from a paper planner or a spreadsheet? Yes
- Free help organizing your client list and upcoming cleans. Your subscription is priced separately. How switching works

How much does Patcher cost for house cleaners?
One price for your team, by how many people take appointments. Each cleaner who takes appointments counts, so a solo cleaner or a two-person crew starts on the smallest plan.

Questions house cleaners ask about Patcher
How much is it for a solo cleaner or a two-person crew?
Patcher is $29 a month for 1–2 people taking appointments, which covers a solo cleaner or a two-person crew. Larger teams pay by how many people take appointments, not by homes, and every plan includes every feature, from online booking to estimates. You can try it free for 14 days.
Where do I keep lockbox and alarm codes?
In the customer notes, along with where the spare key lives, which rooms to skip and which pets stay shut away. They’re on every appointment at that house, so you have them before you’re at the door. Put details for one visit, like “inside the fridge this time,” on that appointment.
Can I send two cleaners to the same house?
Yes. An appointment sits in one person’s column, so a two-person clean is two bookings at the same time, one for each cleaner. Patcher checks both columns before it saves, so neither cleaner ends up booked at two houses, and the move-out shows side by side on the day view.
Can I send an estimate for a move-out clean?
Yes. Text an estimate with options, say a standard move-out and one that adds the inside of the oven, fridge and cabinets. The customer approves or declines from the link, and you book the approved clean at the length that work takes. Estimates waiting on an answer sit in one list, so none slip by.
If a Friday clean cancels, who gets offered the time?
Customers already booked later whose clean fits it: the same length or shorter, with a cleaner who’s free then and time for the drive from the house before. You choose who gets asked and in what order. Everyone keeps their current clean until someone accepts, and a customer who says no keeps theirs while the next person you approved is asked.
