Tom gets one text, sees next Tuesday 9:00 next to today at 3:00 and taps Accept. Amy is never texted.

How does Patcher work for electricians?
From the first walk-through to the final inspection, here’s how a small electrical shop keeps its jobs straight in Patcher.
- 01
Estimate the EV charger first
Walk the run from the panel to the garage, then text an estimate with options, like a 40-amp circuit or a 60-amp circuit with room to grow. The customer approves online and you book the install.
- 02
Book every visit of the job
A kitchen or a basement takes more than one trip: rough-in, trim-out, the inspection. Book each visit as its own appointment and name it, so the calendar shows where every job stands.
- 03
Put both of you on the calendar
The master and the apprentice each get a column. Book each of you on the morning’s panel upgrade, then on your own stops in the afternoon. Patcher checks each person’s day before it saves.
Does Patcher do what electricians need?
Every plan includes every feature.
- Can homeowners request electrical work online? Yes
- Customers pick a service and a time. Quick swaps book instantly; panel and EV charger work come in as requests. How online booking works
- Does it send automatic appointment reminders? Yes
- Reminder texts go out before each appointment, plus confirmations for online bookings.
- Can I set up recurring appointments? Yes
- Book a repeating appointment once and your regulars stay on the schedule.
- Can I see where my apprentice is today? Yes
- One calendar with a column for each person, their openings and blocked time like lunch.
- Will it stop me booking myself in two places? Yes
- Every time is checked against the day before it saves. If you mean to overlap, Patcher asks first. How booking works
- Can a cancelled job be filled? Yes
- Customers booked later are lined up for the opening. You approve, and they’re texted one at a time. How cancellation filling works
- Does it leave room to drive between jobs? Yes
- With “we visit customers” on, suggested times leave room for the drive between jobs. How travel-aware scheduling works
- Can I check tomorrow’s jobs from my phone? Yes
- Patcher works in your phone’s browser, with a day view made for a small screen.
- Can I switch from a notebook or a phone calendar? Yes
- Free setup and switching help from a notebook or phone calendar. Your subscription is priced separately. How switching works

Questions electricians ask about Patcher
Is it affordable for a master and an apprentice?
Yes. Patcher is $29 a month for 1–2 people, so a master electrician and an apprentice are on the smallest plan, with estimates, online booking, travel-aware times and cancellation filling included. You pay for the people who take appointments, not for features, so it stays simple as you add a journeyman or a second apprentice.
Can I send an estimate for an EV charger before I book it?
Yes. Build the estimate from your services and add options, such as a basic install close to the panel or a longer run with a dedicated subpanel. The customer opens it from a text and approves or declines online. Once they approve, book the install on a day that fits.
How do I schedule rough-in, trim-out and the inspection?
Book each visit as its own appointment for the same customer. Name them in the service or notes, like “visit 2 of 3”, and each one gets its own time and who’s going. The calendar shows where every job stands at a glance, and gate codes and access notes on the customer come up every visit.
How do I book my apprentice on the same job?
Book each of you at the same time. An appointment sits in one person’s column, so for a panel upgrade you book the job with yourself and again with your apprentice. Each booking is checked against that person’s day before it saves, and you see both columns side by side.
If a job cancels, who gets offered the time?
Customers already booked later whose job fits: the same length or shorter, with you free then and a drive that works. You choose who gets asked and in what order, so you can start with the jobs whose parts are already on the van. Everyone keeps their current appointment until someone accepts, and a no means the next person you approved is asked.
